WOLFPACK NATION BOOSTER CLUB
The Ignatius Wolfpack Lacrosse Club received a 1st round bye and a second round home game versus the Waubonsie Valley Warriors on Friday, May 25th (time TBD). The pairing will face off the #6 seed, Ignatius Wolfpack, in the Illinois Lacrosse Cup Playoff’s versus the #11 seed Waubonsie Valley Warriors.

The Warriors participate in the DuPage II Conference and had an overall record of 4 – 9 on the season, with wins over Glenbard West (2), West Chicago and Champaign Centennial. The Wolfpack of Saint Ignatius, a member of the Chicago Metro League, had an overall record of 13 – 4 during the 2007 campaign with quality wins versus Lane Tech, Glenbard West and Deerfield. This will be the first ever meeting between the Warriors and Wolfpack which pairs two up and coming teams in the state of Illinois.

Additionally, the Wolfpack of Ignatius registered an all time high in players being named to the 2007 ALL – CONFERENCE selections on Sunday. The Wolfpack placed a player in every key position on the All-Conference team with one repeat performer from 2006, Senior Defenseman Bill Hiatt.

IGNATIUS RECIEVES FIRST ROUND BYE, TO HOST WAUBONSIE VALLEY, PLACES SIX (6) ON FIRST TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE
The Wolfpack played a very strong first half against Waubonsie Valley on Friday night en route to a 7 - 2 win over their 2nd round opponent. Up next the Wolfpack will travel to Greyslake on Tuesday evening to face the Rams. Game time is TBD, however expect it to be approximately 5:30pm.
WOLFPACK STARTS HOT, ROLLS TO 2ND ROUND WIN!!!
The Wolfpack played a tough opponent on Tuesday afternoon up in Grayslake and fell, 6 - 2. Scoring for the Wolfpack was Junior Chris Rubey and Sophomore Mike Klein. The story of the game however was the defense and goaltending on both ends of the field. Senior Captain and Goalie Joe Cottone made 12 saves in net with Senior Defensemen Bill Hiatt and Mike Napier, along with Sophomore's Robbie DeKold and Tommy McCauley and Junior Long Stick Midfielder Dan Nicolopulos holding the Rams to just 6 goals on the day. Defensive midfielders David Gates (Freshman) and Lee Sanders (Sophomore) also stood tall all afternoon long in holding an offense that averaged over 9 goals a game during the regular season.

With 24 of the 30 players on the 2007 roster returning in 2008 the future looks extremely bright!
